I need to file personal bankruptcy because of a failed business. My question is I live in Ohio I am going to be strapped financially for the next 4 years paying of outside business debt. My problem is my refrigerator died yesterday and everyone is telling me to purchase one 90 days before filing. I have never failed to pay a bill but I am unemployed and quite a while before I can ever regain financial freedom. I am at a loss what to do. Does anyone have any advice.
I had a debt collector call me and told me if I did not pay the debt right now I would be sued and my wages garnished. I told her I didnt have the money now my husband just lost his job and we'd be albe to pay off the debt next month. I was trying to work with this woman and she began to yell at me and called me a loser and said she was calling my father in-law to tell him the same thing AND SHE DID. I understand I have a debt but what she did was horrible. I know it is illegal to do and wanted to know who I can contact to report her. I talked to her supervisor and she told me it was indeed illegal and they are very sorry and now are willing to work with me. But that is not enough my debt is my own personal business and I do not deserve to have her call my in-laws and call me a loser. Who would I report this to? thank you, Im sorry if I sound angry but I am very upset. Thank you.
I would like to promote my own seminar/workshop business mostly relating to self-improvement. I have zero dollars to invest and no credit. I've done my homework and I know how to market this business but I need funds to get started. I've been sucessful in managing people and project but some poor life choices have put me in a position where I'm currently underpaid and in debt. It seems impossible to get my business started without financial help – at least $10k to start. Any advice, suggestions are welcome. I believe that in order to be successful one must really come to a decision about what they really want to do….I've made my choice and I am ready to begin……how to I fund my start-up?

1 A corporation is much larger than other kinds of businesses.
2 A corporation is not responsible for its debts if it fails.
3 A corporation has a separate entity apart from that of the owners and workers.
4 A corporation has officers who are responsible for the business.

Also, how do you start a business repairing other people's credit and restructuring their debt so they can be approved and get the best rates they can for mortgages and car loans. What about helping them with ChexSystems and to get a better hold on their credit and finances. I know the income potential is $100K a year, and also you're helping people rebuild their lives from financial disaster so they don't have to resort to predatory lending such as cash advances, payday loans, title loans, rent-to-own, and sub-prime mortgages (to name a few). I understand with that said its very rewarding financially and personally. Thank you for all your help.
I manage a small business with 5 employees (I am one of them). Each employee (including me) earns about $50,000 a year. Unfortunately, under the new Obama tax plan, we will be hit hard because our salaries alone total $250,000. This doesn't include the operating expenses associated with running a business (rent, electricity, services, medical benefits, etc.). Our business turns a net profit, but it is not sizeable (maybe $3,000 a year). The main reason the business exists is to provide jobs for the employees. I **** to fire employees that have been doing a great job, but I cannot see any alternative. After being hit by Obama's tax we will be in the red each year. I would consider a single person who has $250,000 at their disposal to be somewhat wealthy. A business with a mere $250,000 can barely survive in today's world of inflation. It's a shame that so many American's have voted to destroy small business. Firing employees that have done a great job just isn't right. Unfortunately, I think we will have to just cut our losses and go out of business before we go into debt.
