Who do I report this debt collection company to?
The Buehlers B asked:
I had a debt collector call me and told me if I did not pay the debt right now I would be sued and my wages garnished. I told her I didnt have the money now my husband just lost his job and we'd be albe to pay off the debt next month. I was trying to work with this woman and she began to yell at me and called me a loser and said she was calling my father in-law to tell him the same thing AND SHE DID. I understand I have a debt but what she did was horrible. I know it is illegal to do and wanted to know who I can contact to report her. I talked to her supervisor and she told me it was indeed illegal and they are very sorry and now are willing to work with me. But that is not enough my debt is my own personal business and I do not deserve to have her call my in-laws and call me a loser. Who would I report this to? thank you, Im sorry if I sound angry but I am very upset. Thank you.

Go to legal aid for legal suppot…otherwise..the BBB (better buisness bureau
Go to FTC.gov, they have all the rules and regulations that debt collectors must follow, like who they may contact and when.
I had a similar dealing with a collector a few years ago. She was the worst person in the world and probably one of the few I'd ever wish bodily harm on, LOL!
well im not sure who u can call about the rude lady but i do know of place your can get your credit and if in debt . the number is 1877 833 8899 i pay about 315 a month but im over 15,000 in debt if your interested you can email if u have any questions
